Today begins a new series here at Benefits of a Classical Education. Things that Make Me Smile will be a multi-part series in which I tell a story or link to a thing which made me happy. The inaugural entry is this, Sons & Daughters by The Decemberists. The whole song is great but the line that really gets me is 

We will arise from the bunkers
By land, by sea, by dirigible

The intonation on that line just gets me smilin'. That's all.
